House Centipedes are carnivores and mostly hunt other invertebrates, although some large Scolopendromorphs prey on vertebrates. Centipedes are venomous, and produce and inject their venom with a pair of modified front legs called forcipules. They are the only class of animals that have evolved forcipules.
